Description

This course teaches students the interrelated development of early language and early literacy in children from birth
to age eight. The course focuses on culturally diverse ways of sharing stories to develop high-quality strategies to support early learners in vocabulary development, narrative skills, phonological awareness, print knowledge, and early reading and writing skills through traditional oral stories and children's literature. Offered in spring semester.
