Financial Aid FAQs

Q. Who should apply for financial aid?

Everyone should apply, regardless of whether they think they are eligible.

Q. How do I get financial aid?

A. The FAFSA is required annually for both federal and institutional aid. Private aid applications vary, but some may require the FAFSA to help determine need.

Q. What is the Federal Pell Grant?

A. The Pell Grant is the largest federal grant program offered to undergraduates. The Pell Grant is a federal grant for low-income undergraduates, as determined by the FAFSA, and doesn't usually require repayment. It's the largest of its kind. For more information, refer to the Federal Student Aid website. www.fafsa.gov

Use the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form to apply for college or graduate school financial aid.

FAFSA® Deadlines: Many states and colleges set priority deadlines by which you must submit the FAFSA form to be considered for their aid programs. There is also a federal deadline each academic year.
