Description
This foundation course focuses on basic concepts related to essential nursing care of patients across the life span. Integration of knowledge of family systems, evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and the nursing process to provide safe, effective, patient-centered care will occur. An introduction to the concepts of pain, neurosensory deficits, mobility, oxygenation, communication, fluid and electrolytes, growth and development principles, and prioritization of care. The significance of community nursing will be introduced.
