Description
EDEC 287 Early Math and Numeracy Concepts
This course builds a foundation for early childhood teachers to integrate mathematical concepts and ideas into early learning environments. Students learn how to use the Montana Early Learning Standards and Montana's Common Core Standards for Mathematics to drive instruction in a evelopmentally appropriate manner. Additionally, students learn techniques for assessing students to uncover their thinking and scaffold instruction to meet the needs of all learners. Offered in spring semester.
